Injectable Skin Boosters Treatments

If your skin has started to feel less hydrated, look less radiant, or has lost some of the plumpness it once had, you are not alone. These are some of the most common concerns I hear in clinic every week.

Injectable skin boosters are one of the most effective treatments I offer for addressing these changes from the inside out. Not by altering the way you look, but by restoring what your skin has gradually lost.

What Are Injectable Skin Boosters?

Injectable skin boosters are a non-surgical aesthetic treatment that delivers concentrated hydrating and regenerative ingredients directly into the deeper layers of the skin.

Unlike topical skincare, which works on the surface, skin boosters work beneath it targeting the dermis where collagen is produced and where lasting skin quality changes actually happen.

The most common active ingredient is hyaluronic acid, a substance naturally found in the body that helps the skin retain moisture, maintain plumpness, and stay resilient. As we age, our natural hyaluronic acid levels decline, which contributes to:

  • Dryness and loss of hydration
  • Fine lines and crepey texture
  • Dullness and a loss of natural glow
  • Reduced firmness and elasticity

Skin boosters replenish this from within, with results that improve progressively over a course of treatments.

What Do Skin Boosters Treat?

Skin boosters are particularly effective for clients experiencing:

  • Loss of skin hydration and moisture
  • Dull, tired, or flat-looking skin
  • Fine lines and crepey texture
  • Reduced firmness and elasticity
  • Early signs of ageing
  • Skin that lacks radiance despite a consistent skincare routine

They work well alongside other treatments and as part of a long-term skin maintenance plan.

How Do Skin Boosters Work?

Hyaluronic acid and deep hydration

The hyaluronic acid within skin boosters binds to water molecules within the skin, creating lasting hydration that topical moisturisers cannot replicate. This improves skin texture, plumpness, and overall radiance from a cellular level.

Collagen stimulation

The treatment also stimulates the skin’s own collagen production. Over a course of sessions, this leads to progressive improvements in skin density, firmness, and the overall quality and resilience of the skin.

Circulation and skin renewal

The treatment encourages improved microcirculation within the skin, which supports healthy cell renewal and contributes to a more even, luminous complexion over time.

What to Expect From Treatment

Does it hurt?

Most clients find the treatment very comfortable. A topical numbing cream is applied to the skin beforehand to minimise any discomfort. You may feel a mild sensation as the product is delivered, but this is brief and well tolerated by the vast majority of clients.

Is there any downtime?

There is little to no downtime following treatment. Some clients experience mild redness or slight pinkness at the injection sites for up to an hour after their session. This is entirely normal and resolves quickly.

As with any treatment involving needles, there is a small possibility of minor bruising in some individuals. Where this does occur, it typically settles within a few days.

When will I see results?

Some improvement in skin hydration and radiance can be seen immediately after the first session. However, the most significant and lasting results are seen over a course of treatments.

I recommend a course of at least three treatments to achieve the best outcome, with maintenance sessions thereafter to preserve your results long term.

Who is Suitable for Skin Boosters?

Skin boosters are suitable for most adults who want to improve skin hydration, quality, and radiance. They can be tailored to different skin types and concerns using a range of formulations.

Age requirement

Skin booster treatments are injectable procedures and are subject to legal age restrictions. Treatment is only available to clients aged 18 and over.

Who should not have this treatment?

As with all injectable treatments, a consultation is required before your first session. I will assess your skin, discuss your medical history, and confirm whether skin boosters are the right choice for you. I will always be straightforward with you if an alternative approach would better suit your needs.

Common Questions

How many sessions will I need?

I recommend a minimum course of three treatments for optimal results, spaced several weeks apart. Maintenance sessions every six to twelve months help sustain your results over time.

Can skin boosters be combined with other treatments?

Yes. Skin boosters work exceptionally well alongside other treatments such as Collagen Lift and skin and facial treatments. I will recommend the most appropriate combination for your skin during your consultation.

Are skin boosters the same as dermal fillers?

No. Skin boosters and dermal fillers are different treatments with different purposes. Fillers add volume and structure. Skin boosters improve the overall quality, hydration, and health of the skin from within. They are complementary rather than interchangeable.
